Overview
SkyConstellations Airborne Communicator represents a state of the art, all-in-one solution suitable for use on GEO, MEO and LEO satellite constellations both in Ku Band and Ka Band using a single, highly optimized antenna system to reach a no-compromise operating condition.
SkyConstellations is equipped with 4 independent, very high efficiency RF Horn Array radiant panels, 2 in Ka band and 2 in Ku band generously sized to operate with previous, current and future generation of satellite networks.
Each radiant panel is completely RF independent both in reception and in transmission, thanks to its built-in intelligence. The degrees of freedom of each radiant panel allow the combination of various operating configurations via SW command, modem option file or pre-defined and dynamic geographic network.
*Given the fierce competition and pursuit of technological supremacy some of our graphic representations are deliberately simplified
Tracking on LEO constellation in Ku band or Ka band with single or double panel coupled on the same satellite or on two independent satellites one behind the other on the same orbit.
Tracking on GEO constellation in Ku band or Ka band with single or double panel coupled on the same satellite.
Tracking on MEO constellation in Ku band or Ka band with single or double panel coupled on the same satellite or with independent panels on two satellites of the same constellation but in adjacent orbits.
Each radiant panel can be dynamically configured to transmit and receive in circular right or left polarization and linear vertical or horizontal, in cross-polar or co-polar mode.
Each radiant panel can be connected to its own modem or share different types of modems with the other panels.
Particular attention was paid to the spatial orientation calculation system of the entire combination of antennas in order to ensure independent pointing capability and very fast alternation of pointing re-locks for each single panel, in particular in the management of the LEO and MEO orbits, guaranteeing superlative orbital trajectory accuracy for each single acquisition thanks to a dedicated and sophisticated engineering of the integrated GNSS, AHRS and Gyro system specifically developed for this project.
