Overview
MOSAIC is a sophisticated satellite “Antenna System” based on a proprietary modular and scalable architecture, fully characterizable via software and easily mechanically conformable to fit even the most complex and space-constrained installation.
MOSAIC revolves around the innovative concept of “radiant tablets”: highly efficient, proprietary enhanced phased array module with a size of 10 x 10 x 2 cm (W x L x H).
Thanks to our own exclusive and innovative architecture every MOSAIC receiving or transmitting module can be adjusted independently, by varying the number of radiating tablets being used, to meet the link budget requirements and / or fit the available installation space.
Several MOSAIC modules can be configured to work on the same band at the same time, or they can be set up to work on separate bands. They can coexist in the same installation since they are handled and driven by the same CCU (Central Control Unit).

RF Design
A minimal configuration includes two radiating tablets, one for Rx and one for Tx, driven by a Central Control Unit (CCU).
Sets of radiating tablets can be pre-configured to work on separate bands (for example, Rx on Ku-band and Tx on Q-band), or on the most recent satellite constellations.
Each MOSAIC can be independently tailored and assembled in a greater size receiving or transmitting antenna, to meet specific link budget requirements and / or fit the available installation area.
The diverse position of more than one MOSAIC module within the same installation adds the flexibility to choose the best available satellite constellation, the one providing the most favourable satellite signal with respect to the location being used.
MOSAIC elements can be installed on flat, non-flat or shaped areas. They are embedded in a proprietary, radio-transparent glue that has a very strong resistance to wide thermal excursion, strong vibrations and high speed.
